Terms of Service
Effective July 31, 2026. Last updated July 31, 2026.
These terms govern your use of Verdeer. Verdeer is currently operated as an individual project by its author, based in the United States; “Verdeer,” “we,” and “us” refer to that operator. By using the product you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
1. Verdeer is in private beta
Access is by invitation. The product is under active development: features will change, appear, and occasionally be removed, and there may be interruptions, defects, and changes to how things work. We will not pretend otherwise. Do not treat Verdeer as the only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for the security of your account and for what happens under it. Tell us promptly at hello@verdeer.com if you believe it has been compromised. Do not share your account with anyone else.
3. Your content stays yours
You keep all rights to the material you put into Verdeer — your career history, stories, application materials, notes, and anything derived from your connected accounts. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the product for you: to store that material, process it, and display it back to you, including sending relevant parts to the service providers described in our privacy policy so that a feature you asked for can run.
We claim no ownership of your content and will not use it to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
4. Connected accounts
If you connect a third-party account such as Gmail, you authorize Verdeer to access it as described in the privacy policy and nothing further. You can revoke that access at any time, and doing so is a decision we will never make harder than granting it. Your use of those third-party services remains governed by their own terms.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- use Verdeer to impersonate someone, or to state qualifications, credentials, or history that are not truthfully yours;
- upload another person's personal information without a lawful basis for doing so;
- attempt to breach, probe, or disrupt the service or the accounts of others;
- scrape, resell, or redistribute the product or its output as your own service;
- use it for anything unlawful.
Verdeer exists to help you present yourself accurately and well. Using it to misrepresent yourself is against these terms and against the point.
6. AI-assisted output, and what it is worth
Parts of Verdeer use AI to draft, summarize, and analyze. That output is a starting point produced by software, and it can be wrong, incomplete, or poorly judged.
You are responsible for everything you send out under your name. Read it, check it, and correct it before it goes anywhere. Nothing Verdeer produces is legal, financial, or career advice.
7. No promise of an outcome
Verdeer does not guarantee that you will get interviews, offers, or a job. Nobody honestly can, and a product that says otherwise is selling you something. What we offer is a system that helps you do the work well and keeps your effort from going to waste.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Verdeer running and to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but the service is provided on an as-available basis, and beta access may be modified, suspended, or ended. If we discontinue the product, we will give you notice and a way to export your data before access ends.
9. Fees
Private beta access is currently provided free of charge. If paid plans are introduced, we will tell you the terms in advance, and no existing account will be charged without explicit agreement.
10. Ending it
You can stop using Verdeer at any time and request deletion of your account and its contents as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached, if it is necessary to protect the service or other users, or if the beta is closed. Sections 3, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 13 survive termination.
11. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Verdeer is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost data, arising out of your use of Verdeer. Our total liability for any claim relating to the product will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in that state, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will update the date above and notify account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use Verdeer after that means you accept the revised terms.
